Hello! Welcome to Impromptu Journal. This blog/website is my personal project of interviewing people. This has been inside my mind for quite some time, but I was never brave enough to pursue it. It wasn’t until a couple of days ago I mentioned the idea again to a group of friends, and I was met with encouraging words.
The idea of this journal comes from my friends, really. I’m lucky enough to have friendships with different types of people with different backgrounds, experiences, and knowledge — and all of them are interesting and wonderful. I really admire them for being so gracious and kind in answering my questions; most of them stemmed from pure curiosity, and they have always entertained my “… Why is that…”-questions. Case in point: I never really understood what a film producer is doing, but they always have a really busy day filled with meetings and movie shootings. I did ask around, and the answer I got was always, “They do everything.” I have a friend that work as a film producer, and yes, I’m going to ask her. She might be is my first victim interview persona (Mandy Marahimin: “If making a film is a train, then the producer is the locomotive.”)
This project started from a very selfish reason, but I do hope you will find this journal as fun as I do.
